The Addenbrooke's Treatment Centre is a brand new building located on the hospital site.

Construction started in Oct 2004 and will cost approximately £84m through PFI funding. The new centre will provide new facilities for the hospital and will bring clinical care and research together under one roof, creating a main centre for clinical work and and research.

The new facilities is an opportunity for updating facilities to meet modern environmental standards, improving patient environments and space for the delivery of clinical care.

Vacated areas within the main hospital buildings will create more space for wards and departments creating improved, more suitable clinical and working environments. In addition, the Trust will gain flexibility for future development, either by expanding existing departments or introducing new services.
