Addenbrooke's Hospital's Equality and Diversity (E&D) Strategy aims to minimize inequalities in the delivery of our services and in employment.

Our long-term aim is to provide patient-focused and responsive services that contribute to the overall wellbeing of our patients and improve the working lives of our staff.

In 'concrete terms' this means that:

patient groups such as disabled, ethnic, elderly etc receive:

a) equal access to services

b) equal treatment and

c) equal health outcomes.

In practice, this means that patients, their families and carers would receive services designed around their needs and requirements.

staff have equal opportunity in recruitment, training, development and growth irrespective of their disability, gender, race, age etc.
