Introduction

At Addenbrookes, we are keen to produce and share with our users high-quality information that will help them understand and access our services.

The Freedom of Information Act (FoI)

From 1 January 2005, people have new rights of access to information under the (UK) Freedom of Information Act 2000.

The Environmental Information Regulations (EIR)

Since 1992, people have the right to access information under the (UK) Environmental Information Regulations 2004.

Where is our Information?

Our information is often available in a printed format (sometimes by request only) and increasingly we are making it available online via this website (and via the intranet for NHS staff).

Our Information Centre and Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) staff are also available to help people access the information they need, even when they don't have access to a phone or the internet.

We also have visiting staff from independent advice agencies such as Citizens Advice Bureau, who can help you access information from us or from other organisations.

Our Data Awareness manager manages requests for information and can help requesters and staff - see contact details at end of this page.

How can I find out what information is available?

Our Publication Scheme lists key facts about Addenbrookes and the sort of information we hold. It also has links to useful websites. It covers both FOI and EIR.

We want to make it easy for you and our staff to request information to find what you want.
