Since the last edition a number of exciting developments have taken place.
The latest elections have been completed – see the main article for details. Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote – your votes really do count and help to make sure that the governors returned have a real mandate for the work they will carry out.
The three governor/director working groups continue to bring your views to the centre of discussions at high level within the Trust. Any themes emerging from governors’ discussions and meetings with members are aired here and brought to the attention of the directors – one of the most important advantages of Foundation Trust status. Look out for the governors coming to visit a venue near you so your views can be heard.
In September we will be holding the 2007 Annual General Meeting – a chance for you to come and find out about the work of the Trust from many of our staff in an interactive informal setting and to hear the Chairman and Chief Executive’s speeches. Governors will also be present at the event to talk with members. Look out for details in the separate article.
