Over the past few months there have been some really exciting developments for our younger patients and their families. Funding has been approved for work to begin on plans for a new, purpose-built Addenbrooke's Children's Hospital and this autumn over 30 young people between the ages of eight and 18 came along to an event to find out about our plans to form a children and young person’s board.

This new board will advise the Trust on how services for children are best provided to suit their various needs and looking to the future, how new facilities for children might be designed. The board will provide a fun opportunity for children and young people to meet staff and to learn more about the hospital.

We will keep you posted on the progress and work of this new board in future editions of Members Matter.
