Effective and active clinical governance at Service Delivery Unit (SDU) level helps to improve the quality of care for our patients. This framework of standards and practices, which also uses the seven domains from Standards for Better Health, applies not just to our clinicians, but to everyone in the hospital who is involved in patient care.
The publication of the Trust’s Good practice in clinical governance guide, ensures that our service development units are all working to the same aim and standards and this has helped to develop and extend effective clinical governance throughout the Trust.
Clinical directors and associate directors of operations are responsible for governance arrangements within their areas of responsibility, and together with specialist committees this enables the Trust to be assured that its overall governance arrangements are robust. |
