Anna’s Hope


Just before her fourth birthday, Anna Hughes died from a brain tumour.  Inspired by her courage, her parents have founded a charity called ‘Anna’s Hope’ to support children and young people who get a brain tumour, and to fund research into finding a cure.

Anna’s dad Rob has already raised £20,000 this summer with a fundraising bike ride from Land’s End to John O’Groats, completing the 1,000-mile journey in just two weeks.

Consultants take on Kilimanjaro

Dr Wilf Kelsall and Dr Jag Ahluwalia have trekked to the summit of Kilimanjaro in support of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, raising over £10,000 to help the smallest, sickest babies from the eastern region. The money will be used to buy a dedicated EEG monitor to measure babies’ brain waves.

Snow Fair – Charity shopping for Addenbrooke’s

Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th November at Chilford Hall, Linton

Complete your Christmas shopping under one roof: up to 100 exhibitors selling a fabulous range of stylish products. Free parking and light refreshments are available – and it’s all in support of Addenbrooke’s. The fair’s target this year is to raise more than £100,000 for a much-needed children’s gastroscope. The scope lets medical staff examine a child’s throat and stomach with a video camera.
