Addenbrooke’s is a flexible and supportive employer and we are delighted to offer newly qualified Nurses the chance to join our well established Cross Specialty Rotation Programme. This is structured to allow you to consolidate your training and gain experience in wide range of clinical settings.

Our aim is to enhance the transition from student to registered practitioner in a supportive environment.

Aims of the Rotation programme:

  • To provide newly qualified nurses with structured learning opportunities to gain a wide nursing experience.

  • Support and enhance the transition period from student to registered practitioner.

  • Develop the full potential of the individual nurse.

  • Assist in the development of specific and core competencies.

  • Advocate effective practice and accountable practitioners by developing experience and skills.

Support Structure includes:

  • Preceptorship

  • Drug Administration Study Day

  • Role Transition Study Day

  • Clinical Skills Training

  • Pump Training

  • Leadership Development

  • Professional Issues Training

  • Monthly support sessions

We are currently offering an 18 month rotation, consisting of a medical, surgical and specialty placement (3 x 6 month placements).
