Latest Developments Addenbrooke's access road
In January 2007, the new access-only road from Hauxton Road in Trumpington to Addenbrooke's Hospital was granted approval. As part of the next steps for the project, a full archaeological investigation has to be undertaken to investigate and preserve the area's rich historical heritage. This was agreed as part of the planning conditions that were placed upon the roads construction. The archaeological excavation is due to start on Tuesday, 24 April 2007. The final results will be published in an archaeological journal and all the finds will be stored in archive for future analysis as new techniques become available. Construction of the road started in July 2007.
