PRESS RELEASE: 7 June 2005

Have your say when Addenbrooke’s Modern Matron and Governors come to Cottenham

Since becoming a Foundation Trust last year, Addenbrooke’s governors have been out and about in the local community, meeting members and offering them the opportunity to have their say in the future running of the hospital – but from here on in, there’s going to be more!

Modern Matrons (or Senior Clinical Nurses, as they are known at Addenbrooke’s) have been very high on the news agenda recently and it seems that lots of people have questions to ask and comments to make about this new role. So, over the next few months, the Addenbrooke’s Governors are going to be accompanied by a Senior Clinical Nurse, as they make their way around the membership area. Local people are welcome to come to these drop-in sessions to discuss this new role, as well as any other Addenbrooke’s-related matters they may want to discuss.

The meetings will be open to all members, and those who aren’t members but are interested in finding out more are also welcome to drop in.

• Thursday 16 June, 1830 – 2000 hours
in the Lecture Room, Cottenham Village College, High Street, Cottenham
