Success for Addenbrooke's 'interactive' AGM

On Tuesday 20 September 2005, Addenbrooke's hosted its Annual General Meeting in the Food Court in the hospital concourse, and then in the William Harvey Lecture Theatre in the Clinical School. The meeting was open to all members of the general public.

The meeting was in an informal, interactive format, and the public were able to find out about a whole range of topics, including infection control, travel to and from the hospital and new developments.

Visitors were also able to sample some of the new dishes on the patients' menu, find out about Pets as Therapy and meet the PAT dog, Griffin, and try out some of pathology's latest equipment.

There were over 40 displays in the Food Court before the formal presentations in the Clinical School. They are now on display in the 'clown' corridor that leads to the Rosie Hospital until Friday 23 September 2005.

Archivist Hilary Ritchie talks about the hospital's history

Trust Chairman, Dr Mary Archer, and Chief Executive, Malcolm Stamp, gave a short retrospective of the past year, and looked forward to what the coming year has in store. Following the formal presentations, the audience had the opportunity to ask questions and make comments.
