Addenbrooke's scientist receives international award |

Dr Sharon Sandridge, Honors Committee Chair, American
Academy of Audiology David Baguley PhD, Consultant Grade Audiological Scientist and Head of Audiology at Addenbrooke's, received an International Award in Hearing from the American Academy of Audiology at its awards ceremony in Minneapolis at the beginning of April 2006. Dr Baguley received this award for providing outstanding service to the profession of audiology in a clinical, academic, research and professional capacity. Dr Baguley was instrumental in forming the International Committee of the American Academy of Audiology and served as its co-chair for three years. He is a founding member of the British Audiologic Academy, serving to bring together a number of audiologic organisations into one organisation. In October 2005, Dr Baguley won the first ever Jack and Marie Shapiro
Research Award, run by the British Tinnitus Association, for research
likely to lead to improved treatment or public awareness of tinnitus. |
