Saturday 20 May, 1000 to 1600
Addenbrooke’s Open Day is almost here…and it promises to
be a grand day out for all the family!
Addenbrooke’s Hospital is a vital part of the local community
and Open Day gives us the chance to show the public what we do…as
well as letting them take a look at some of the normally unseen areas
of the hospital.
‘Style guru’ Trinny Woodall will be officially opening
the day at 1000, and there will be hundreds of activities on offer for
visitors of all ages. Visitors will even get the chance to meet Wallace
and Gromit, who will be appearing around the hospital throughout the
day.
The event is free of charge and open to everyone.
Here are just some of the few activities that will be on offer:
-
Take one of our seven tours around the hospital, visiting areas
not usually open to patients and visitors
-
Visit the mortuary and find out why post-mortem examinations can
be necessary
