| The corridors of Addenbrooke’s Hospital
are to be brightened up by an exhibition of photographic and digital
media based on the themes of fame, home, play, beauty and work.
All the images have been produced by first year students studying
on the BA Hons Photography course, within the Cambridge School
of Art, at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU). It will be the seventh
annual photography exhibition and is the product of an on-going
collaboration between Addenbrooke’s Hospital and Anglia
Ruskin University, Cambridge.
The exhibition will be displayed in the hospital’s ‘Clown
Corridor’ which links the main concourse with the Rosie
Maternity Hospital from 12 to 24 May. There will be a prize-giving
ceremony on Thursday 11 May at 1430, during which the student
who has produced the best piece of work will be announced and
presented with a £100 voucher from Keyphoto Ltd to spend
on photographic materials or equipment.
Ron Stellitano, the exhibition co-ordinator, said: “The
exhibition promises to be the most innovative and exciting yet.
The students have worked very hard to create some fascinating
work and for many this will be their first public exhibition,
which I hope patients, staff and the public will come and enjoy.
On behalf of ARU I would like to thank Addenbrooke’s Hospital
and in particular Claire Pope, Art Curator, for making this exhibition
possible”.
The exhibition forms part of the ‘Addenbrooke’s Arts’
project, which aims to enhance the hospital environment for patients,
visitors and staff by creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere. |
