Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust scooped a special award in the Health Enterprise East 2007 Innovation Competition.

Claudia Rizzini, Research and Development Manager, received the award for the highest number of entries, together with a cheque for £1,000 for research and development activities at a special awards dinner hosted by BBC Look East presenter Stewart White.

The Trust shared the award with Norfolk & Norwich University Hospitals NHS Trust, who also entered seven innovations into the competition. It was open to staff working in all branches of the NHS in the East and there were over 80 entries this year including ideas for products, software and services to benefit the patient experience.
