JCB demolishes Learning Centre One

A JCB demolishes Learning Centre One to make way for new multi storey car park

One of the oldest buildings on the Addenbrooke's hospital site, Learning Centre One has been demolished to make way for the new multi storey car park.

Learning Centre One and Two were originally contractor cabins for workers building the hospital in the 1950's.

Helping with the demolition and braving icy winds and sleet, was Dr Robert Winter, Medical Director who got behind the controls of the JCB and had a smashing time!

The new multi story car park that will be built on the site will provide 1050 spaces for visitor and patient parking and include a pedestrian bridge to give access to the hospital. Read more about the new multi storey car park
