The Critical Care Outreach Team

We are a team of nurses with acute care experience supported by two Consultant Intensivists.

We aim to support, educate and work with ward staff looking after critically ill patients in ward environments.

Our Aims:

• Share Critical Care skills with ward staff.

• Education and clinical support

• Prevent unnecessary Critical Care admissions

• Ensure timely Intensive Care admissions by early identification of patients who are deteriorating

• Follow up patients discharged from Critical Care.
