The Urology Unit provides diagnosis and treatment of cancers of the genito-urinary tract.

Trans-rectal prostatic ultrasound and biopsy facilities;

Radical conformal radiotherapy for prostatic carcinoma;

Radical prostatectomy for prostatic carcinoma;

Nephron-sparing surgery for renal cell carcinoma;

Bladder substitution procedures for bladder carcinoma;

Nurse-led intra-vesical chemotherapy and/or immunotherapy for bladder carcinoma;

Chemotherapy for bladder and prostate cancer;

Immunotherapy for renal cancer;

Clinical trials of chemotherapy, radiotherapy and novel therapies.

 

Special clinical and research interests:

Molecular biological diagnosis of urothelial and prostatic malignancy.
