In vitro fertilisation (IVF) is provided by the Addenbrookes Centre for Reproductive Medicine and Surgery by way of a joint programme with Bourn Hall Clinic, a leading provider of assisted conception services in the private sector.
This is a joint programme using identical protocols and guidelines, with patient’s progress being monitored daily between the 2 centres. The initial consultation, ovarian stimulation and monitoring is carried out at the Addenbrookes Centre for Reproductive medicine and Surgery, with the egg retrieval and embryo transfer taking place at Bourn Hall Clinic.
Senior members of the team from Addenbrookes Hospital and Bourn Hall Clinic meet regularly to oversee the programme.
