Pregnancy

How will I know I am pregnant?

Most women think they are pregnant because they miss one or more periods but some women can still experience monthly bleeding when they are pregnant. Others are concerned because they know they have taken a contraceptive risk. Other signals that some, or most, girls and women might experience early on in their pregnancy include:

  • Morning sickness. Feeling or actually being sick, especially in the morning, but at any time of the day, or, for some, all day!

  • Sore breasts

  • Going to the toilet more, you might find you need to urinate more often

  • Going to the toilet less, you might become constipated

  • An increase in vaginal discharge

  • Feeling tired

  • Having a strange taste in your mouth

  • Food fads and cravings, you might start hating some foods and develop a craving for others.
