About Addenbrooke's Urology Clinics

For some urological conditions, you will be seen in a clinic specific to the condition. Some of these clinics are run by nurse practitioners, who are highly trained and experienced nurses with expertise in the treatment and care of the condition. For this reason, you might not see a doctor on your first appointment.

We run special clinics for the following conditions:

  • Chronic Pelvic Pain in Men Clinic

  • Continence Advice Clinic
This Clinic is run by the continence adviser.

  • Erectile Dysfunction Clinic
A clinic for men who have impotence. It is run in Clinic 4A by a nurse practitioner. Clinics are held on Monday and Friday afternoons (for new patients) and on Friday afternoons for existing patients.

  • Haematuria Clinic
For patients who have blood in their urine.

  • Intra-vesical Chemotherapy Clinic
This involves the instillation of drugs into the bladder. It is offered to people who have bladder cancer.

  • Intra-vesical Installations for Interstitial Cystitis Clinic
This is the instillation of drugs into the bladder for people who have non-bacterial cystitis.

  • Lithotripsy Clinic
The shock-wave treatment of kidney stones, which avoids the need for more-invasive surgery.

  • Prostate Cancer Clinic

  • Prostate Diagnostic Clinic
