During summer 2002, we contacted some local organisations and
businesses to see if they would like to sponsor the Jubilee
Garden project or help us in any other way.
The project team would like to take this opportunity to thank all
those who have supported this project - including staff members.
Addenbrooke's Charities and Addenbrooke's Art - for funding
the work, the majority of the plants and commissioning the art.
Ridgeons Ltd - for their generous donation of trellis and planters.
All the estates and facilities staff at Addenbrooke's, who have
done all the non-glamorous hard work on the site and kept the
volunteers under control (some of the time)...
Cambridge City Council for their help and time in sourcing
some of the plants.
The staff of the Press office, who arranged the opening and press
coverage.
The Cardoza Kindersley Workshop for the impressive Jubilee
sculpture.
The Paul Young Centre for the Arts, National Extension
College, Purbeck Road for the donation of the rocks for the sculpture.
Marion Baldwin for her advice and help recruiting volunteers.
Karen Goldstone, Addenbrooke's - for the cuttings.
Mike Grevatte, Somerset - for the moulds for the cast
fossils and shells.
Daphne and Colin Jones, Rutland - for the idea, plants,
bulbs, fundraising and casting the fossils and shells.
Rebecca Jones and Julian Hickling, Cambridge -
for all the things that no one else wanted to do...
Simon Lewis - for his good humour and hard work as a project
team member.
Colin Murphy, Suffolk - for some stunning planters and
windowboxes.
Guy Noble - for commissioning the artwork and generally
keeping the project moving.
Gill and Alan Patterson, Cambridge - for bulbs and encouragement.

the wonderful toolbox for use by the Activity Centre.

hanging from the pergola.

amounts of hard work.
