Meal times and arrangements

Meals are served on the wards at approximately the following times:

  • Breakfast: 0700–0830

  • Lunch: 1200–1315

  • Dinner: 1745–1845

For the majority of inpatients, a meal selection is made at the point of service from a trolley on the ward. The daily menu choice provides for a number of diets, ie diabetic, high fibre, healthy eating and vegetarian. The Catering Department provides additional special diets as requested. They also cater for those on Kosher, Halal and vegan diets. If you have special dietary requirements, or you require further information, please inform your ward sister or staff nurse.

Other catering outlets

There are a number of shops and catering outlets on the main concourse at Addenbrooke's, which are used by staff, inpatients and their visitors (list of shops and services).
