Grief & Loss I - An Introduction to Grief & Loss

Half Day Course

Aims:

  • To engage with the concepts of grief and loss.

  • To introduce the theory of bereavement.

  • To provide insights and help with handling people grieving.

  • To enhance people’s essential helping skills.

Topics covered:

  • What is loss What is loss?

  • The language we use

  • Understanding responses to loss.

  • Ways to help the bereaved.

Target:

As a basic introduction to these courses, it would be suitable to anyone within the health care setting who may encounter people experiencing loss.
