Grief & Loss II The Culture of Grief & Loss

A Full Day Course

Aims:

  • To enable participants to engage with the concepts of grief & loss.

  • To seek to understand some of the responses people experience.

  • To encourage participants own experience and understanding.

Topics covered:

  • To provide a brief overview of theories of grief and loss.

  • Family dynamics accompanying loss.

  • Multiple losses.

  • The function of funerals.

  • How to survive personally.

Target:

This course would build on a basic knowledge of grief and loss and would be suitable for anyone who has completed the first half day introductory course or has done some basic work in the area of grief and loss.
